Project Description
The SoHuman Workshop Series aims at bringing together researchers and practitioners from different disciplines to explore the challenges and opportunities of applying social media to designing novel applications of collective intelligence, with a special focus on crowdsourcing and human computation. By emphasizing practical challenges and experiences with real-world applications, the workshops will stimulate the discussion on best practices in this quickly growing field.
Until now, two workshops of the SoHuman Workshop series have taken place: In September 2012, we started the series with SoHuman 2012 – 1st International Workshop on Social Media for Human Computation, which was co-located with the IEEE Social Computing Conference 2012 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In May 2013, the SoHuman 2013 – 2nd International Workshop on Social Media for Crowdsourcing and Human Computation was held at ACM Web Science 2013 in Paris, France.
